This Privacy Policy explains how EachKin ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses personal information when you visit eachkin.com, use our interactive features, request a guide, join our email list, contact us, or make a purchase (collectively, the "Services"). The Services are hosted on Shopify.

Who the Services Are For

The Site and its interactive features are intended for parents, guardians, and other adults. Children under 13 should not submit personal information directly through the Site. We do not ask for a child’s full name, email address, or account. A parent or caregiver may provide limited information about a child, such as an age range and play preferences, to receive a Play Profile. We do not make any statement here about the application of any particular children’s privacy law to our Services.

Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:

  • Information you provide: your email address, messages sent through our contact channels, and marketing preferences.
  • Kit Finder information: the age range, play moment, goal, preferred level of parent involvement, and play style you provide; the resulting Play Profile; and related tags or notes used to provide and personalize the requested result and follow-up communications.
  • Guide and newsletter information: your email address, the request you make, and your consent or preference for receiving EachKin emails.
  • Purchase and account information: if products are offered and you choose to buy or create an account, Shopify may process contact, order, payment, delivery, and account information needed to provide that transaction.
  • Device and usage information: information generated when you use the Site, such as browser, device, IP address, pages viewed, and interactions, including through cookies and similar technologies.

How We Use Information

We use information to operate and improve the Services; provide a requested Play Profile or guide; manage our customer records and email communications; respond to requests; process transactions when available; protect the Site from fraud and abuse; comply with legal obligations; and understand how the Site is used. Kit Finder results are informational only and are not medical, psychological, developmental, educational, or diagnostic assessments.

How Information Is Shared

We share information with service providers that help operate the Services, including Shopify, which hosts the store and processes customer, order, and related service information on our behalf. We use Shopify’s email and automation tools for requested and marketing communications. Forms may use hCaptcha to help protect against spam and abuse. Information may also be disclosed where required by law, to protect rights or security, or in connection with a business transaction. We do not sell personal information in exchange for money.

We use Meta Pixel through the Site, subject to Shopify Customer Privacy settings. Meta may receive standard device and Site-interaction events, including an anonymous Lead event after a Kit Finder email confirmation. EachKin’s Kit Finder integration does not send a child’s age range, Finder answers, Play Profile, goals, play moment, involvement, or play style to Meta.

Cookies and Privacy Choices

Shopify and the Site use cookies and similar technologies to provide and secure the Services and to understand Site use. Where required or available, Shopify’s customer privacy settings, cookie banner, data-sharing opt-out page, and browser privacy signals provide choices. You can also adjust browser settings, although some Site features may not work as intended.

Marketing Communications

We send marketing emails when you submit a form that states you will receive EachKin emails or otherwise give consent. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email. We may still send non-promotional messages related to a request, account, or transaction.

Retention and Security

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including to provide the Services, maintain records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information, or to opt out of certain processing. To make a request or ask a privacy question, please use our Contact page. We may need to verify a request before responding.

International Processing

Shopify and service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where applicable law requires it, we will use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the Services or our practices. We will post the revised version here and update the last updated date.
